To make a free long distance call with Appamia Free you must press option 1 on Appamia's main phone menu. After that, you will hear a brief message from our sponsors. Just like radio and television, Appamia Free is free because it is ad-supported. Listen to the message carefully, because it will tell you what digits you must press in order to continue with your free call.
Once you press those digits, you will hear the second part of the message, and then we'll ask you to dial the destination number, followed by the pound sign. To make an international call, you must dial 011, followed by the destination number and the pound sign. Inside the United States and its territories, and to call Canada, the Dominican Republic or the English-speaking islands of the Caribbean, dial 1, followed by the destination number and the pound sign.
You will then hear how many minutes you can talk with the Appamia Free points you have, and we'll connect your call.
Once the person you called answers, tell them you are using Appamia Free and explain that every 5 minutes during your call, both of you will hear a sound, followed ten seconds later by another message. You must both listen to it carefully and press the digits it indicates in order to continue your free call!
If your call is not going through, it is probably due to one of the following causes:
Each week Appamia gives you 1000 points to call anywhere in the world, absolutely free. Your points will convert to different amounts of minutes depending on the country and mobile network operator of the people you call.
At the beginning of each call, once you have dialed the number you are trying to reach, we'll tell you how many minutes you can talk for with the points that you have. You can also easily check how many minutes your points will convert to by using the calculator here.
You can accumulate points in order to make longer phone calls, but the one thousand points we give you each week expire after 28 days, so use them before you lose them!

If your Appamia Plus account has already been activated, our main telephone menu will present you the option of recharging your account using our interactive system by pressing three. The system will ask you to indicate how much credit you want to purchase. The minimum per transaction is seven dollars and the daily maximum is 100 dollars. For American Express cards, the minimum per transaction is twenty dollars.
If you already have credit cards stored in our database, the system will give you the option of using one of those. If you wish to use a credit card whose data we haven't stored, the system will ask you for the credit card number, its expiration date, its security code, and the billing address zip code. Remember you must press the pound sign (#) after entering each of those numbers.
To enter your credit card’s expiration date, press two digits for the month and then two digits for the year, followed by the pound sign. For example, for May 2014, dial zero-five for the month and then one-four for the year.
The security code for your Visa or Master Card can be found on the back, just above your signature. It’s the last three digits. On your American Express, the security code is the four digits on the front, right above the credit card number.
You can also speak with a live sales agent and they will recharge your account.

Appamia Number is a local phone number abroad which is connected with your mobile phone or landline in the U.S. Choose the city and country where you want to have a Appamia Number, and when your friends and family there make a local call to that number, your phone in the U.S. rings and you can start talking. To them it costs the same as any local call. You pay a monthly fee which varies depending on the city and country where your Appamia Number is located and the plan you choose. You can have as many Appamia Numbers in as many cities as you need. Here you can check the account status for each of your Appamia Numbers, and the cost of getting a new one in a different city.
Appamia Number has 3 plans. With plan 1 you receive 5 dollars monthly in Appamia Plus credit, with the second 10 dollars and 20 dollars with the third one. That’s how you can call them with your Appamia Plus and they will call you to your Appamia Number. You will always be in touch with your family. Each plan cost depends on the country and the city were you want your Appamia Number to be installed.
